Our September workshop’s theme is to create arrangements that have to contain all the 3 geometric shapes: circle, triangle and square. Members are encouraged to use suitable fresh materials, vases, and perhaps unconventional materials for creating these geometric shapes and aim for a balanced arrangement.

In Chinese philosophy circle symbolizes heaven, triangle symbolizes human beings and square symbolizes earth. The third headmaster of Sogetsu, Hiroshi Teshigahara stressed the importance of practicing geometric painting and developing a sense of balance in geometric compositions.

Can you spot all these 3 shapes in our members’ arrangement here?
